Merckx went to Italy and got trained by the the art of building frames by De Rosa for several weeks. Ugo De Rosa trained Eddy Merckx and came to Belgium to visit the factory and the new employees.
During the late1980’s and early 1990’s, the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was a top-end level road frame among professional teams.
Proudly offering this Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra roadbike with Freuler geometry. A rare extended seat and headlug.
The superb frameset is made of Colombus SLX NEW tubing.
This Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra is a first owner bike and is fully original. Even cables are original. So the pedals are. Original paint and chrome in mint condition. Nothing to remark, just perfect. Campagnolo Chrous groupset is installed in combination with Ambrosio Excellence clincher wheels. Pantographed ‘Eddy Merckx’ Cinelli stem. This piece of art is hand made in Belgium.
